Welcome

February 06, 2010

Welcome to my website. I hope these pages give you a flavour of some of my work in books, print, online, radio and TV.

There are human interest stories, business stories – and science and technology stories. My favourites include the women building the City of Joy in the Congo, the apartheid beauty queens of South Africa, the rebuilding of Cape Town’s District Six, and the Muslim Women’s cycling club – as well as an in depth feature on the future of race-based medicine for WIRED.

You might like to read some of the interviews with great women like Nelson Mandela’s daughter Maki Mandela, Maya Angelou, Eve Ensler, Dionne Warwick, or Sofie Grabol. Or you might be interested in my books, including my new biography about Dusty Springfield, or After Auschwitz, my best-selling book with Anne Frank’s step sister, Eva Schloss.
